Tales from the Wonder Zone
Tales from the Wonder Zone is a science fiction short story publication. Its next edition is entitled Polaris: A Celebration of the International Polar Year. This collected works will contain stories written by professional science fiction writers, amateur authors and youth. Polaris submissions will address what could happen in a future International Polar Year. All submissions will take into account what has historically happened during successive Polar Years in order to maintain realism in the science.

The submission deadline has passed.

A sincere thank-you to all who submitted a short story for this collection. We received some excellent submissions this year. These youth submissions will be an excellent complement to the other stories being considered for Polaris: A Celebration of the International Polar Year.

All submitted works are in the review and editorial stages. If you have submitted a story you can expect to hear back from the editorial staff son.

Look for Polaris to be published in 2007, coinciding with the start of this International Polar Year.

Future Online Collection

For those of you who missed the submission deadline, the Youth Steering Committee is considering providing some online space for young authors to post their works. These submissions will not be considered for the Polaris collection. Similarly, submissions for Polaris will not be posted in this online collection. This is a tentative plan, so please check back to this page for updates.

If you would like to see this idea come into being feel free to contact Tyler and tell him you would like to see this happen.
