The Polar Contests
The Polar Contests is a project being piloted in New Zealand. This project aims to network young polar researchers from many disciplinary backgrounds, involving them in the production of educational resources that reflect their research and experiences of the Polar Regions. This network will also be involved in mentoring secondary school students as they undertake extracurricular projects of their choice aiming to express their views on polar issues in a creative way. Winning entries will receive funding to exhibit their work at the International Youth Conference on the Poles in Europe 2008. For more information or to participate in the Polar Contests, see ipyyouthnz.org.
