Arctic Languages
With increasing pressure from western society, more and more Arctic Indigenous communities are losing the daily use of their traditional languages. Some youth in these communities are no longer taught their traditional languages. To maintain a language it must be spoken. For it to be spoken it must be respected and valued, not only by traditional speakers, but by the rest of the world.

The Faroe Islands Postal Service
There are not many courses to learn to speak faroese. The best method of learning, is by reading stories in a language you know then in the language you don't. The Faroese Postal Service has an excellent site with very good translations. Check out the stories surrounding Faroe Islands stamps and pick up a little Faroese. I recommend the "wikimedia" link if you want to see some of the gorgeous stamps.

Learn what wikipedia has to say about Faroese
The amount of information contained within the pages of Wikipedia is sometimes shocking. But I encourage you to gain a little of that knowledge when you can.
