Global Warming

I have learned a lot from this movie, An Inconvenient Truth. I have now realized how severe global warming is. Poor creatures, like polar bears, are dying because of us! It is mostly human activities that have caused global warming. If we don’t do something about global warming now then it will be too late in the future to do anything to help. I have also realized that just a few people can make a big difference, but the more that can help the better! We should all try to do something about global warming right now! Turn off the lights, turn off the water, and don’t pollute. Just doing some of these simple things can help. We want to make a better environment for our generations to come, so why not start right now? If we don’t do anything about it then our children will not have safe surroundings, and the problem will just keep getting worst. Global warming has come and is happening right now, so go out and make a difference!
Even though I have just learned so much about global warming for watching this movie, I still have questions about it. My first question I have is when did people start knowing about global warming? When people did start knowing about it, how long did it take for people to take actions to prevent global warming? Why do some people still not believe in global warming? If you have seen this movie then you should believe in it, because it has taught us so much that probably most of us did not know already. The numbers are so surprising that who would not believe in global warming, sadly some people still do not believe in it, or the people that know about it refuse to do anything about global warming, why? I also still do not understand how every time it goes up 1 degree at the equator, it goes up 12 degrees at the poles? I understand that this is very serious problem, but I just do not understand how it happens. Those are my main questions I have about global warming. I have learned a lot more about global warming than I knew before we saw this movie. It has taught me a lot and I would like to know even more about it and how I can help.

you are completely right. i think that the time people started noticing global warming was sometime in the mid 1950s. World War Two had just ended, and people were noticing the damage they had done with this war. they also, all of a sudden, started noticing the damage we were not only doing to the peole but also to the environment. you are a really eloquent poster!
